Development News

2007 is beginning to shape up as an exciting year for this company. The Cyclone 2 has been our most sort after model in the 544 kg category using the RG 2000 EFI engine with reduction unit

We are strongly resigned to the entrepreneurial enthusiast who can achieve a high value of satisfaction from building an aircraft with exciting design concepts we are developing on either 544 kg category or Experimental.

The recognition of our main spar design attracted some very influential enthusiasts to consider a 2 place twin.

Extensive work on the design was established in early 2006 and the aircraft was almost placed into development production but there was also strong interest in the 4 place. This was a secondary concept of the twin as the next thing to do but the 4 place using the Chev V6 became the way to go for 2007.

We are currently building a Cyclone 4 with an 1800 to 2000 lb Total Weight.

This aircaft powered by V6 Chev developed by RG Engines with a Belted Drive From the USA.

This will be a fascinating aircraft to build from the kit. Features are : Tapered wings, (trailing edge and cord ),
4 degrees dihedral from the cockpit centre line,
bubble tinted tilt canopy 225 hp liquid cooled and 32 gall fuel tanks .
Engine burn around 7.5 US gall per hour at 160 mph.
Expected to have an awesome climb out at well over 1500 ft per minute.
Currently building one with tri gear and releasing it in Las Vegas with Jess Meyers this year who has full firewall forward kits for RV`s.

There are features available with this engine from all cast iron to all alloy with considerable weight saving, dual ignition, in-flight adjustable 2 barrel carb, electric water pump which can circulate coolant after the engine is shut down to minimize heat sink.

The Chev V6 and Belted Drive as a complete unit is the OEM propulsion product for Homebuilt Aviation Pty Ltd for the Cyclone 4.

Construction pictures will be here soon.

Below is previous development versions of the Typhoon stage.

Typhoon (red) and the Typhoon S (white one).
Both RG TT 2000 Gear drive engine powered
The Typhoon S is the intermediate aircraft toward the development of the Cyclone.

Outstanding climb rates of over 600 to 1100 ft per minute and the S clocked on gps 100 knots at 3,000 engine rpm. Still had 1000 + revs up its sleeve. turning a 60.5 X 62 prop.

The Typhoon is an easy to fly aircraft and is exceptionally stable in pitch control due to the location of the horizontal stabilizer/ wing.

The white Typhoon is now for sale at $48,000.00 -

Some continued factory support is offered with this aircraft.
